Story
起
Unazawa, Okutama. On a forgotten plot of land, pure water still flowed, unchanged. Here, a single place of prayer begins.
Two hours from the city. We stepped off the train and walked along the stream, and there was Unazawa — a forsaken plot of land and clear water that never stopped flowing. The wish to quietly catch our breath here came before any reasoning.
Sheer rock, moss-covered forest, the ceaseless sound of water. The nature of Unazawa never rushes you. It quietly affirms your simply being there. In that depth, we found the very origin of “being whole.”
“Shichibee” is the name of the one who once opened this land. We inherit it in respect for those who took root here and lived in harmony with nature — to stand not on novelty, but on what has endured.
Japan has an ancient culture of “touji” — healing body and mind by soaking in hot water. What we seek is its modern form. Not efficiency, but surrender. Not consumption, but recovery.
Steamed, cooled, caressed by the wind. The empty-minded moment that arrives in that cycle resembles prayer. Unazawa Shichibee aspires to be a new place of prayer where anyone can return to themselves.

ABOUT MORI NO INORI
A small temple hall nestled in the forest.
Leave the clamor of daily life behind,
and spend a quiet, peaceful while.
In a space embraced by nature,
we gently offer you time to face yourself.
Reset your mind in a forest that breathes with the seasons.
Time to face yourself, in a quiet space.
We cherish a culture of prayer handed down through the ages.

— A cherished form of prayer —
The prayers and feelings handed down to us
stay close to our daily lives,
bringing stillness and calm to the heart.
Within everyday life, pause for a moment —
why not cherish time to face yourself?
In quiet hours, it creates time to face yourself.
Cherished forms of prayer watch gently over those of us living today.
A presence that quietly watches and guides brings ease and calm to everyday living.
Experience
Four rituals woven by Unazawa Shichibee. As you move through them, body and mind quietly come into balance.
蒸Sauna
The crackle and scent of burning wood. Surrender to the rising steam as the edges of thought come undone.
冷Cold Bath
Crisp natural water raised by the mountains. Beyond the skin-piercing cold lies a honed stillness.
休Rest
Rustling trees, the sound of the stream. Held by the forest, simply breathe — a moment where you and the world melt together.
癒Spa
Warm bathing and treatments that release you to the core, lovingly filling the body and mind you have balanced.

“Tranquility is close to prayer.”
Project
Reviving idle land in Unazawa, drawing on local timber and the hands of artisans. With the sauna as a starting point, we bring the flow of people and places to work to Okutama. This is not the opening of a single facility, but a small attempt at regional revitalization.
